Takuya Uchiyama

Born on May 30, 1992 in Niigata. After graduating from high school, Uchiyama entered Bunka Fashion College. Although he began his career as a stylist while in school, he got interested in films and later studied film under director Ryota Nakano. At 23, he made his directorial debut with Vanitas (2016), which won the 2016 PFF Audience Award. His recent work includes music videos for King Gnu and others and the middle-length film Blue Forest (2018). Sasaki in My Mind was released in Japanese cinemas on November 27, 2020.
